Lidless & Recessed Cover Fiber Arrays

Our Lidless & Recessed Cover Lid Fiber Arrays provide the same precision and reliability as standard fiber array units, but without a cover lid or with the lid positioned further back. This compact design reduces overall height, enables direct optical access, and simplifies integration with photonic chips and other space-constrained optical systems.

Customers can define key parameters such as number of channels, fiber pitch, fiber type (SM, PM, MM, UHNA, or multicore), end-face polishing angle, and overall dimensions. The manufacturing process is optimized for accuracy, with typical core position deviations below 0.5 µm.

Optional anti-reflective coatings can be applied to suppress back reflections. The V-groove and optional cover lid are manufactured from borosilicate glass or fused silica. Variants for cryogenic temperatures and ultra-high vacuum (UHV) are also available.
