Linear Fan-Out Fiber Optic Bundles

1-to-N fan-out fiber bundles split light from a linear input into multiple individual fibers. The linear interface can be FC/PC, SMA905, or custom ferrules—metal or glass—manufactured directly at SQS, as well as glass fiber arrays (FAU). For FC connectors, customers can specify the orientation of the linear structure relative to the connector key.

Individual fibers are terminated with FC/PC, SMA905, ST, or other connectors and can be numbered according to their position in the linear arrangement. Fibers are arranged in one or multiple rows within a slit: up to 900 µm for FC and 1.6 mm for SMA905, with wider slits available via custom ferrules. Core sizes range from 50 µm to 1000 µm, with multimode fibers (Low OH, High OH) and solarization-resistant options for UV. Mechanical protection includes flexible stainless steel tubing, PVC, or PTFE for chemical resistance and durability. End faces can be ARC-coated to minimize back reflections.
