Round-to-linear straight fiber bundles are designed for applications requiring precise fiber mapping and efficient light delivery from a circular source to a linear slit.
We offer FC/PC, SMA905, or custom ferrules—metal or glass—manufactured directly at SQS, as well as glass fiber arrays (FAU).
Maximal overall diameters are 1.9 mm for FC and 2.6 mm for SMA905, with larger diameters available through custom ferrules. Fibers at the linear interface are arranged in one or multiple rows within a slit—up to 900 µm for FC and 1.6 mm for SMA905.
Core diameters range from 50 µm to 1000 µm, with guaranteed fiber mapping and lengths according to customer specifications. Fiber bundles may include multimode fibers (Low OH, High OH), solarization-resistant fibers for UV applications, as well as versions suitable for vacuum or extreme-temperature environments.
Mechanical protection is provided by stainless-steel tubing or PVC jackets, and end faces can be ARC-coated to minimize back reflections.
