History of Our Company

SQS Vláknová optika a.s. was established in 1994 in Nová Paka, Czech Republic. The initials S-Q-S stand for the three founding members—Jiří Šimek, Wilhelm Quittner, and Zdeněk Švitorka—while Vláknová optika (Czech for Fiber Optics) highlights the company’s business focus.

In its early years, the company specialized in producing passive optical fiber modules based on proprietary technology for actively aligned connectors.

By 2000, SQS had significantly expanded its portfolio and began delivering fiber optic solutions to customers worldwide.
