2D Matrix Fiber Arrays

2D Matrix Fiber Arrays

Our 2D matrix fiber arrays feature precisely positioned fibers in the required geometric layout. Using Selective Laser Etching (SLE) technology, we create holes in quartz glass that match the fiber diameter.

2D Matrix Fiber Arrays with Microlenses

A compact solution with multiple collimated beams. The microlens (MLA) is actively aligned to the Fiber Matrix Array, minimizing tilt errors and ensuring precise collimation.

Our 2D matrix fiber arrays are manufactured with high fiber positioning accuracy and minimal tilt. Using SLE (Selective Laser Etching) technology, we provide arrays with fully custom arrangements of SM, PM, MM, UHNA, and MCF fibers.

The opposite fiber end can be terminated with standard connectors such as MPO, MT, MMC, FC, LC, E2000, SC, ST, or with another fiber array. The front facet is precisely polished either flat or at angles of 6° or 8°, or according to individual customer requirements, and can optionally be coated with an anti-reflective (AR) layer to reduce optical losses. For collimated outputs, an MLA can be actively aligned and bonded to the array.

Output bundle accuracy:

Arrays without MLA: typical angular deviation ≤ 5 mrad (bundle axis relative to the front facet normal)

Arrays with actively aligned MLA: angular deviation ≤ 3.5 mrad (collimated bundle axis relative to the ideal lens axis)
